Kyle Ball's Evo X

Met up with Kyle yesterday (My 23rd b-day WOOT!!!) to shoot his sick new Evo X. I shot his STI awhile back and wanted to choose a different location this time so we met up at OMSI and lucked out with a really cool open spot with Portland in the background. Despite the harsh lighting, I think the shots came out awesome. I'm looking forward to shooting it again once it's a little more built. The rest of the shoot can be seen here: Kyle Ball's Evo X

The Beach!

Took a day trip to the beach with my room mate and had a complete blast. I grew up on the east coast so when I first got here 10 years ago I thought to myself, "Self, this isn't a beach! It's a big lake with cold sand!". Well I'm happy to report that my thoughts about the Oregon coast has completely changed. There were tons of things to shoot there and it's only getting me more pumped for Jessica's wedding next July which will be on the beach! Here are a few shots from the trip as the rest can be seen at the link. The Beach!

Dave's R32 GTR

Cars have always been a passion of mine, particularly ones from the land of the rising sun. I've been trying to meet with Dave for the last few months but plans always seemed to fall through, that is until last Friday. For those that don't know, the almighty GTR is one of the kings of Japanese performance automobiles. Nicknamed Godzilla for the fear it struck in the hearts of every other car manufacturer out there. I don't know what I did to deserve a chance to shoot this beauty but I took full advantage of it. I cannot begin to describe the sound, look, feel, and pure aura of this beast on the road. I will never forget this and a special thanks to Dave for making it happen. The rest can be found here Dave's R32 GTR

Hailey Brianne Roach

I've known Tyler and Amy the better part of a decade now and was lucky enough to shoot their beautiful new baby girl Hailey Brianne Roach. It was a pretty simple setup since it was extremely hot outside and inside their place. Lucky for me it was just the right temp for her to fall asleep and not make much of a fuss. I'm happy with the final images and it was good practice for many more baby shoots to come. Thanks again Tyler and Amy and look for Hailey's next shoot for Halloween.

Travis and Brittney: Post Wedding shoot

I had the great opportunity to shoot Brittney and Travis a few weeks back on the Waterfront in Portland. They didn't get a chance to get engagement or save the date pics done so I was happy to oblige. Brittney made my job extremely easy by knowing exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it shot. This was also one of my first tests with my new lens (Canon 50mm f/1.4) which worked above and beyond my expectations. I'm looking forward to shooting more engagement pics in the future! Check out the full album from their shoot in hi-res on my other site:

My first post!

I'm happy to say I've joined the masses and created my very own blog to follow my ongoing pursuit of photographic greatness. I'm sure it'll take time to get used to it, as are with most things, but hopefully this will give those that are interested a peak into my life and my exploration through my love and passion that is photography. I will update more as time goes on and as the shoots pick up but I wanted to get my first out of the way. And so it is done!
