Jeff Hill's Show and Go STI Rd, 2

Met up with Jeff Hill a few weeks ago to get some more shots of his STI with the new front and rear Voltex setup. This is such an amazing car to see in person and had a blast canyon carving around Camas in it. I hope to shoot this again down the line.

Pumpkin Patch with the Roach Family

My first time to a pumpkin patch and I got to spend that time with the Roach's. I shot Hailey shortly after she was born a few months ago and it's amazing to see how much she's already grown and changed. We met up with Chanelle and her little guy.

Tommi and Lars

I've known Tommi and Lars for quite a few years now and had the pleasure of doing a post wedding shoot with them last week. I try to warn people ahead of time to be very picky when choosing a photographer for a special event. Think of them like a doctor or lawyer. They only get one shot and they better do it right. Here's a few from their session.

E-Session: Jessica and Nate

I met up with Jessica and Nate for their E-session last weekend. Brittney and I will be shooting their wedding at the beach next year and I'm really looking forward to it. Onto the pics!

Derrick and Kristina's wedding

Wow what an exhausting but exciting day. It was the most humid day in 6 years but at least we missed the rain! Everyone did an awesome job and props go out to the other photographer, Brittney, for directing most of the time. Congrats again guys!

Senior '11: Sarah

Had a wonderful shoot with Sarah a few weeks back at place where they filmed Twilight that overlooked The Gorge. We still have to meet up for her 2nd session and I'm really looking forward to it as the results from this shoot came out awesome!

More from Alana's senior session

Our 2nd outing since the first was rained out and we picked an awesome day. Here's just a few of the photos.

Senior '11 : Alana's head shots

Had a quick shoot today since we were rained out (good ól NW) but these still came out awesome. I can't wait till it clears up so we can do the rest of her shoot outside. I'm extremely happy with the way these came out and hope she liked them too.

All of these were shot with my Trusty Canon 5D mark II and 70-200 f/4L IS (minus the 1st and 3rd which was shot with my Canon 50mm f/1.4 wide open) Cheers! -Chris-

Strobist info is mostly the same on all of these:

YN460 behind and left of her 45º 8' up aimed down as hair light at lowest power
YN467  45º   8' high camera right 5/6 power shot through 43" Westcott white satin umbrella.

The rest can be seen at full res and on black here:

Kyle Ball's Evo X

Met up with Kyle yesterday (My 23rd b-day WOOT!!!) to shoot his sick new Evo X. I shot his STI awhile back and wanted to choose a different location this time so we met up at OMSI and lucked out with a really cool open spot with Portland in the background. Despite the harsh lighting, I think the shots came out awesome. I'm looking forward to shooting it again once it's a little more built. The rest of the shoot can be seen here: Kyle Ball's Evo X

The Beach!

Took a day trip to the beach with my room mate and had a complete blast. I grew up on the east coast so when I first got here 10 years ago I thought to myself, "Self, this isn't a beach! It's a big lake with cold sand!". Well I'm happy to report that my thoughts about the Oregon coast has completely changed. There were tons of things to shoot there and it's only getting me more pumped for Jessica's wedding next July which will be on the beach! Here are a few shots from the trip as the rest can be seen at the link. The Beach!

Dave's R32 GTR

Cars have always been a passion of mine, particularly ones from the land of the rising sun. I've been trying to meet with Dave for the last few months but plans always seemed to fall through, that is until last Friday. For those that don't know, the almighty GTR is one of the kings of Japanese performance automobiles. Nicknamed Godzilla for the fear it struck in the hearts of every other car manufacturer out there. I don't know what I did to deserve a chance to shoot this beauty but I took full advantage of it. I cannot begin to describe the sound, look, feel, and pure aura of this beast on the road. I will never forget this and a special thanks to Dave for making it happen. The rest can be found here Dave's R32 GTR
